Domino\u2019s<\/a> ya entrega de pizza a domicilio en la ciudad texana<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

La cadena de restaurantes especializada en pizzas,\u00a0Domino\u2019s<\/a>, y la start-up de rob\u00f3tica, Nuro, ambas de Estados Unidos, lanzaron en abril, un servicio aut\u00f3nomo de entrega de pizza a domicilio en la ciudad de Houston, en Texas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Desde la pasada semana, el robot R2 reparte pedidos a domicilio de Domino\u2019s en la ciudad de Houston. En un contexto en el que los pedidos de comida a domicilio han experimentado un crecimiento notable debido a la pandemia de COVID-19 y a las restricciones de movilidad derivadas de la misma, Domino\u2019s y Nuro est\u00e1n trabajando conjuntamente en una nueva experiencia de entrega a domicilio \u00e1gil y sin contacto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Desde el mes pasado, los consumidores seleccionados que realicen un pedido prepagado a trav\u00e9s de la p\u00e1gina web de Domino\u2019s en ciertos d\u00edas y horarios en el establecimiento situado en Woodland Heights, en Houston, pueden elegir recibir su pizza a domicilio por parte del robot R2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

R2 es el veh\u00edculo aut\u00f3nomo de reparto en carretera y sin ocupantes desarrollado por Nuro, con la aprobaci\u00f3n regulatoria del Departamento de\u00a0Transportes<\/a>\u00a0de EE.UU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expansi\u00f3n del servicio<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Los clientes seleccionados reciben una alerta de texto con informaci\u00f3n sobre la ubicaci\u00f3n actualizada de R2 y que proporciona un PIN \u00fanico para obtener su pedido. Los usuarios tambi\u00e9n pueden rastrear la localizaci\u00f3n del veh\u00edculo aut\u00f3nomo a trav\u00e9s de GPS en la p\u00e1gina de confirmaci\u00f3n de su pedido. Una vez que R2 llega a su destino, pide a los clientes que ingresen su PIN en la pantalla t\u00e1ctil del robot, tras lo cual, las puertas del dispositivo se abren para que los consumidores puedan recoger su pedido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEste programa nos permitir\u00e1 comprender mejor c\u00f3mo responden los clientes a las entregas, c\u00f3mo interact\u00faan con el robot y c\u00f3mo afecta a las operaciones de la tienda\u201d, explica Dennis Maloney, vicepresidente senior y director de Innovaci\u00f3n de Domino\u2019s.
