El m\u00e1s reciente documental de la cadena alemana DW, \u201cNo siento nada: c\u00f3mo internet deforma nuestras emociones\u201d<\/em>,<\/strong> aborda un tema inquietante y cada vez m\u00e1s visible: la salud mental global en tiempos de la IA<\/strong> e hiperconexi\u00f3n.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

El inicio es tan familiar que duele: gente haciendo scroll<\/em> infinito bajo la luz azul de sus tel\u00e9fonos, aislados en dormitorios en penumbra, atrapados por pantallas que nunca descansan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En escena aparece un terapeuta que hace memoria de su consulta a lo largo de dos d\u00e9cadas. Relata que, hace veinte a\u00f1os, sus pacientes llegaban buscando gestionar emociones demasiado intensas: depresi\u00f3n, soledad, ansiedad. Hoy, sin embargo, muchos de sus pacientes tienen el problema contrario: una afectividad emocional casi plana. Gente que ya no siente demasiado, ni para bien ni para mal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n<\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\">\n\n\n\nEs curioso c\u00f3mo, sin notarlo, hemos convertido nuestros dispositivos embebidos \u2014m\u00f3viles, relojes, asistentes\u2014 en refugios permanentes. Y, similar a los concursantes del festival del queso rodante, nos lanzamos cuesta abajo persiguiendo esa gratificaci\u00f3n inmediata que ofrece: el siguiente video, la siguiente historia, el siguiente like<\/em>. Todo por ver qu\u00e9 generaci\u00f3n acumula m\u00e1s horas frente a la pantalla.<\/p>\n\n\n\nHace dos d\u00e9cadas, los cient\u00edficos sociales anticiparon que la era digital transformar\u00eda nuestras relaciones personales. Pero pocos imaginaron los efectos secundarios: la fatiga mental, el agotamiento emocional, la ansiedad social o la creciente incapacidad para concentrarnos.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\nHoy sabemos que esa transformaci\u00f3n lleg\u00f3, pero seguimos sin pol\u00edticas o campa\u00f1as serias que nos protejan de sus da\u00f1os colaterales.<\/p>\n\n\n\nSe habl\u00f3 mucho del riesgo de la posverdad<\/strong><\/em>, ese concepto que describe c\u00f3mo la percepci\u00f3n emocional puede ser m\u00e1s influyente que los hechos. Sin embargo, qued\u00f3 en segundo plano la pregunta esencial: \u00bfc\u00f3mo \u00edbamos a soportar \u2014sin gu\u00eda ni contenci\u00f3n\u2014 el alud de datos, im\u00e1genes y opiniones que circulan cada segundo? Sin darnos cuenta, pasamos de usar la tecnolog\u00eda a que ella nos use.<\/p>\n\n\n\nDesde luego, hay aspectos brillantes: la inmediatez de las respuestas, la eficiencia en tareas cotidianas, la oportunidad de aprender algo nuevo en segundos. Pero m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de esas ventajas, debilitamos las fronteras que nos proteg\u00edan de la saturaci\u00f3n. Lo hicimos por prisa, por curiosidad, por necesidad de sentirnos parte. As\u00ed naci\u00f3 el famoso Internet 2.0<\/em>, que se so\u00f1\u00f3 como el portal a un nuevo renacimiento cultural.<\/p>\n\n\n\nLo que nadie previ\u00f3 fue que intent\u00e1ramos fusionar, sin filtro, un internet del conocimiento con un internet del entretenimiento. En teor\u00eda, la democratizaci\u00f3n de la informaci\u00f3n nos dar\u00eda acceso a ideas, historia, ciencia, arte; en la pr\u00e1ctica, terminamos rodeados de v\u00eddeos virales, retos absurdos y contenidos que priorizan la emoci\u00f3n sobre la reflexi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\nLas grandes tecnol\u00f3gicas y los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n abandonaron viejas f\u00f3rmulas para abrazar una estrategia m\u00e1s rentable: mantenernos siempre conectados, siempre consumiendo, siempre buscando algo nuevo aunque no sepamos qu\u00e9. Y como el bombardeo es constante, es natural que las personas busquen simplificarlo todo: titulares, frases hechas, v\u00eddeos de 15 segundos.<\/p>\n\n\n\nHace poco escuch\u00e9 una frase inquietante: \u201cla mayor\u00eda asume como verdad todo lo que ve en redes sociales, sobre todo los m\u00e1s j\u00f3venes.\u201d Y aunque suene alarmista, basta mirar a nuestro alrededor para entender que algo de raz\u00f3n tiene.
